Short, plain-English pointers that spot patterns for you, and a full-screen way to teach a tricky word.

Insights

Spell Beasts works out what stands out from your class’s practice, using fixed rules (not AI), and shows the numbers behind each one. For example: “8 of 20 children got jealous wrong the first time, most often as jeaous”, or “2 children are getting most words wrong”.

Depending on the insight, you can Teach it on the board, Make a catch-up challenge for just those children, print practice sheets or remind families. Hide for a week clears one you’ve dealt with. Turn on the Monday email (from your account) for three things to look at each week.

Teach it

Teach it puts words on the whiteboard, full screen with no children’s names: the word with its tricky part, the common mix-up, a tip and why it’s spelt that way. Use the arrow keys or a clicker to move on, and Cover for Look, Say, Cover, Write, Check.
